How was your week? Here in Switzerland it’s slowly becoming spring i.e. the first spring flowers are showing up and the weather is beautifully sunny. But enough about the weather, nobody is here for a weather forecast, right? 😉 what did we achieve this week?
If you have moved (since May 2018) you can still let me know anytime via mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or via Kickstarter personal message. Just write me a message with your new address 😊 This is important, because if I have the wrong address and your package is sent back to me, you may have to pay the shipping cost twice.
Today I will send a last mail to all backers from whom I haven’t yet received a survey answer (7) and ask them to complete the survey. Maybe it will work with this last attempt 😛
At the beginning of this week we received some mails from Ludofact, in which we had to give the “good for print” for all submitted documents. We looked through everything again, card by card and checked every single detail (from our point of view everything should be perfect). Now there is only one thing we can do and that is to wait, i.e. we have done our job 100% regarding the production. I still don’t know the exact production date yet, but as soon as I do, I’ll let you know 😊 The production will only take a few days, the preparation is the step which takes a lot of time, i.e. ordering and delivering the FSC cardboard/paper to Ludofact (because all this has to be documented/supervised), the production of the cutting dies, etc.
For all who are interested, this is a “good for print” platform. For each document submitted by us e.g. the small cards, the big cards etc. we have received a link which leads us to such a page. On this page you can have a closer look at every single card (incl. cut markers) and finally approve or reject the documents.
We received this picture including the following text from Frank Jäger, the Ludofact employee responsible for us – These are print outs on an ink jet printer. They are used to check if the final print sheets are correct once those are delivered to our warehouse. So these sheets don’t show much and have no real relevance, but they are the first physical proof of the project taking shape.
Whoever follows us on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) may already know. We now have an official office for our startup. Elio and Samuel transported and assembled furniture all day last Friday, Samuel and I finished everything this Wednesday/Thursday. We are very satisfied with the result, especially considering that we only spent about 300 CHF for all furniture (second hand from online platforms) 😀 Samuel really organized it perfectly!
The Brazilian Portuguese translation is now also 100% finished and can be found together with the English/German translations in this Dropbox 😊 Thanks again to our two backers Vinícius Oliveira Alves and Danillo Roger Ribeiro, these two are just great! Without them, we could never have translated the rulebook into Brazilian Portuguese! Exactly like this, we will now design 1-2 rule books each week, so that when you receive the game all the rule books are available 😊 One question, can any of you speak Portuguese? Would it be a big effort to turn this Brazilian Portuguese translation into a Portuguese translation? Samuel and I have no idea xD and importantly, if you find spelling mistakes, you can report them to us at any time, the digital documents can be easily adjusted by us.
Now regarding fulfillment 😊 the contracts/offers have not yet been signed, I will have a look at the contracts over the weekend, but in all likelihood, we will be working together with the following fulfillment companies: Asia – VFI Asia, Australia/New Zealand – Aetherworks, Canada – Starlit Citadel, Europe – Ludopackt. For the USA I still have to decide between two companies, but both are recommended e.g. by Jamey Stegmaier. Ludopackt most of you probably don’t know yet. It is the fulfillment company of Ludofact and has very high quality standards and we are therefore convinced that they will do an excellent job. I hope you are satisfied with our choices.
Now I slowly must come to an end, otherwise this update will be much too long 😛 I wish you a wonderful weekend and as always, thank you very much for reading my update!
With best regards,
Marc, Elio and Samuel
